A Bigger, Better Disneyland: Expansion Plans Unveiled

Disneyland is presenting proposals for the development of the theme park, retail outlets and car parks over a long period of time to the people of Anaheim as Disney keeps on collaborating with the city to thoroughly reconceptualize what the resort area will be like in the upcoming decades.

Disneyland is organizing a series of public meetings in different parks in Anaheim to make the locals aware of their long-term expansion project called DisneylandForward. They are presenting their plans for the growth of theme parks, shops and parking to the inhabitants of Anaheim to help shape the future of the resort area in the upcoming years.

The DisneylandForward initiative is aiming to upgrade a plan from the 1990s in Anaheim to enable a combination of amusement park, hotel, retail, eatery, and entertainment on both the western and eastern sides of the Disneyland resort.

The long-term planning proposal suggests six potential projects that are based on popular Disney films such as “Frozen,” “Tangled,” “Peter Pan,” “Zootopia,” “Toy Story,” and “Tron,” which cannot be built in Anaheim due to the city’s current planning and zoning regulations.
