At the 60th SoCal Journalism Awards of the Los Angeles Press Club, Scott Moxley of OC Weekly won Best Columnist and two other awards. According to the judges in the event, Moxley Confidential was an epitome of not only good, traditional muckraking but also watchdog journalism. Scott Moxley won awards for Personality Profile and News Feature as well.
OC Weekly captured many Los Angeles Press Club accolades in the past, which included the year’s best journalist awards for not only its Gustavo Arellano but also Moxley.
Back in June 2018, OC Weekly’s reporters got 25 accolades at the annual dinner of the Orange County Press Club.
